Bill
Stevenson- producer, engineer, mixing
As the founder and
main songwriter of the legendary pop-punk godfathers The Descendents,
and drummer of the seminal punk band, Black Flag, Bill Stevenson's
songwriting, drumming, and producing career spans twenty-eight
years. Raised in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, Bill was just
coming of age during the first wave of late 70's L.A. punk. Now
living in Colorado, Bill and his studio partner Jason Livermore
host a dozen or more national acts each year in his studio, The
Blasting Room (built by Bill and the other members of his group
All). Stevenson continues to tour and record with his bands: All,
The Descendents, and Only Crime, but in the last decade has focused
much of his time on producing records at the Blasting Room. |

Jason Livermore
- producer, engineer, mixing, mastering
Jason received his
first snare drum the age of three. Years later, Jason took up
bass and guitar, but returned to drums because he liked them better.
In junior high Jason discovered punk rock. His first vinyl purchase
was the infamous, “Milo Goes to College”. He played
in various bands throughout high school and college, recording
some of these himself. After college, he decided that recording
was probably going to be cooler than selling beer for Miller,
his job at the time. Upon hearing that ALL was opening the Blasting
Room, he moved to Fort Collins to land the job of a lifetime.
Jason has been working at the studio for ten years now. He has
worked on about 95% of the albums that have come out of the studio.
Jason has also played drums for Wretch Like Me, Drag the River,
Bill The Welder, Soul City Missionaries, and The Virginia Sisters.

Andrew Berlin - engineer,
mixing
A recording enthusiast since middle school, and musician my whole life, I started working at the blasting room in 2001. Working closely with, and learning from Jason and Bill, I have helped to build the blasting room into the 3 studio facility it is today. I’m thankful to have developed good relationships with the bands I work with and value hard work, creativity, passion, and the constant evolution of engineering. Since 2001 I’ve worked with Jason and Bill on almost every project that has come through the doors, as well as many on my own. I engineer, mix, and co-produce with several “producer partners” that I’ve teamed up with and I look forward to putting all my energy into making many great records. |

Jason Allen - studio manager, technician, engineer
Jason Allen came to the Blasting Room from the bowels of Memphis. If the SSL breaks, a guitar needs to be rebuilt, a computer needs to be fixed, tax accounting needs to be done, or someone needs cybersource compiled on an Apache server, it's Jason Allen who does it. He also runs Owned and Operated Recordings, Upland Records, and manages the Descendents and ALL. |

Daniel "Bug"
Snow - technician, repairman
Daniel "Bug" Snow has spent most of
the last 20 years on tour with Bill, either with Descendents or
ALL. Bug's common sense and street savvy have been bailing Stevenson
out of predicaments for the better part of two decades. Bug is
just as likely to take a studio client fishing as he is repair
a road worn Les Paul or intonate a bass guitar. He has been known
to throw a barbeque every now and then as well. |
